Work Experience

July 2006 - present:
Web Developer
Alcomedia

My primary duty at Alcomedia is to produce dynamic websites for a variety of clients, including Ponsford, Sheffield Enterprise Agency (Senta) and Euro Barter Business (EBB). The websites that I produce are standards compliant, and I focus on making them as accessible as possible. My duties also involve project managing clients, as well as creating and expanding the company intranet.

January 2005 - July 2006:
Web Developer
WXG Media

At WXG Media, I was responsible for the development of the company's web sites, for both internal and external clients. It was my responsibility to produce a formula that enables the company to easily and quickly create dynamic, database-driven websites for clients including: Ponsford, Spa 1877 and Web Express Guide, among others.

Interests & Skills

I have many sporting interests, and enjoy watching football and cricket. Whilst at school I played both of these sports, and have won many trophies and medals including: Player of the Year, Clubman of the Year, Players' Player and Manager's Player.

My website has attracted many visitors since it was opened in September 2001. The mainstay of the site is The Duff Brewery, a Simpsons-related website, which has been open for several years. My site is written in PHP, a language that I have taught myself during my spare time. I have an excellent knowledge of PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, and have learnt ASP.NET as part of my university degree.

For my final year project, I developed a prototype GUI till system for Argos. This was constructed using a combination of HTML, ASP.NET and MySQL.

I have extensive knowledge of MS Office and experience using all versions of Windows. I have a good understanding of computers and their products and can touch type with good speed and accuracy.

I have had several articles printed in computing magazine PlayNation and am an avid reader of .net magazine.
