J VITTI - Lived in the same apartment block as Mr Bergstrom.

JACK - Star of one of the daytime soaps that Marge watches.

JACKIE-O'S - Breakfast cereal preferred by Lisa.

JACQUELINE BOUVIER - Mother of Marge, Patty & Selma who lives in the Hal Roach apartments. Her most embarrassing moment came when she was arrested for indecent exposure in 1923, like all the other Bouviers (Marge apart), she does not like Homer.

JACQUES - Professional bowling instructor at Barney's Bowl-A-Rama, fell for and tried to court Marge, but to no avail - even if he did give her a discount on her lessons. He introduced Marge to the concept of brunch.

JAKE'S UNISEX HAIR PLACE - Barbershop where Homer had his hair cut (when he had some).

JAMES BONT - Arch nemesis of Hank Scorpio. Unfortunately Mr Bont does not thwart Scorpio's plans.

JASPER - Ever so slightly senile old man who resides with Abe Simpson at the Springfield Retirement Castle.

JAVA SERVER - The name of Springfield's only internet cafe.

JAVA THE HUTT - Coffee house where Krusty once had coffee with Jay Leno.

JEBADIAH SPRINGFIELD - Full name: Jebediah Obediah Zachariah Jedediah Springfield. Founder of the town of Springfield. Legend has it that he killed a bear with his bare hands. Although a hero among the townspeople, Lisa Simpson has found out that Jebediah was a phoney, he was actually a pirate named Hans Sprungfeld who had a silver tongue. A statue of him in the town was desecrated and the head sawn-off by Bart Simpson. Jebediah's motto was: "A Noble Spirit Embiggens The Smallest Man".

JEBEDIAH SPRINGFIELD: SUPERFRAUD - Essay written by Lisa when she discovered the Jebediah was actually a pirate named Hans Sprungfeld. She was given an F by Miss Hoover.

JERRY "FIREBALL" MUDFLAP - Part that Burt Reynolds is due to play in Fireball And Mudflap.

JERRY RUDE & THE BATHROOM BUNCH - Springfield's most popular breakfast radio show, aired on KBBL. Monty Burns once appeared on the show in an attempt to make himself more popular with the townsfolk, it didn't work.

JESSICA LOVEJOY - Daughter of Reverend Lovejoy who attends boarding school. Although she acts like an angel, she is really a devil at heart, stealing money from the Church collection plate, and letting Bart take the rap for it. Has a way with boys and can make them do almost anything.

JESUS H NICE - What Homer once called Ned.

JEWISH NEWS - One of the newspapers that the Springfield Shopper has merged with over the years.

JILLY - The Elf who cannot love. What Lisa compared Bart to.

JIM HOPE - Head of Kid First Industries.

JIM NABORS - Homer has one of his records, and claims that Marge's collection sucks!

JIMBO JONES - One of the 4 school bullies. Once worked at Kamp Krusty, has the secret shame of crying at soap operas, is very scared of Moe. Once went out with Bart's babysitter, Laura Powers. See also: Nelson Muntz; Kearny; & Dolph.

JIMMY PEARSON - Works at the Springfield Revolving Restaurant. Skinner always said that he wouldn't amount to much.

JIMMY THE SCUMBAG - Criminal whose latest scam involved auto-dialler telemarketing. He says nothing without his attorney present.

JITTERS - One of Krusty's clown friends.

JITTERY JOE'S COFFEE SHOP - A place where Barney once threw-up.

JOAN BUSHWELL'S CHIMP REFUGE - Place that the Simpsons stumbled upon whilst they were in Africa. It turned out to be a diamond mine which the chimps were slaves to.

JOCO - Journal of Canine Obedience, read by Emily Winthrop.

JOE - The guy who fixed Bart's cursed Krusty doll.

JOE BANKS - 82-year-old man that was first to feature as one of Bart's People in Bart and Lisa's show Kidz News.

JOE'S - Shelbyville's answer to Moe's.

JOEY - Security guard who work at the Power Plant.

JOHN - Gay guy who befriended the Simpsons. Owner of Cockamamie's Collectable Shop, he had quite an influence on Bart, who Homer thought was coming out of the closet.

JOHN - Gloria's husband, their marriage was saved after they went on a marriage retreat with the church.

JOHN "THE SKUNK" TREMAIN - On the under card to Truckasaurus.

JOHNNY BENCH'S PRE-COOKED BACON - Springfield's premier bacon.

JOHNNY NEWSPAPERSEED - 14-year-old founder of the Springfield Shopper

JORDAN - Name of one of Cletus' many kids.

JRR TOYKIN'S - Toy store visited by Bart and Ralph with the help of Chief Wiggum's police master key. Products include: a Big Ben slide; a giant piano; a train; a pirate's mast; a giant stuffed giraffe; and a giant Ferris wheel.

JUB-JUB - Name of Selma's pet iguana.

JUDGE MOLTON - Judge who ruled in the Simpson-Burns trial, where Homer sued Burns for $1m after Burns ran over Bart.

JUDGE SNYDER - Head Judge in Springfield. Hates Lionel Hutz after he repeatedly ran over his son.

JUGGERNAUTS - Bar in Hollywood where Titania works.

JUGGLER'S DESPAIR - Illness which Homer was disappointed to find out that he didn't have.

JUMBO-VISION - Big screen which Homer once appeared on at the Springfield Stadium. Unbeknown to him, he had his fly undone.

JUNIOR CAMPERS - Springfield's answer to the Boy Scouts. Bart once joined when he was high on a super squishie bender. The leader of the Springfield Junior Campers in Ned Flanders.

JUNIOR OVERACHIEVEMENT - Award that Lisa once received, as detailed in her yearbook.

JUNIOR SKEPTIC - Magazine read by Lisa. According to Junior Skeptic, the chances of another form of life coming into contact with us is 175,000,000 to 1.

JUST CHLOROFORM - The home of all of Homer's chloroform supplies.

JUST CRICHTON AND KING BOOKSTORE - One of the many stores in the Springfield International Airport.

JUST VIDEOS - One of the many shops at the Springfield Mall.
