RALPH WIGGUM - Hapless, unintelligent, but very funny son of Police Chief Clancy Wiggum, often picks his nose. The happiest day of his life was the day the doctor told him he didn't have worms anymore. Although thick, he is a great character, with funny lines like: "My cat's breath smells like cat food" - used when he doesn't understand what's going on. His past love is Lisa and he once became great friends with Bart. His parents will not let him use scissors or the oven.
RAMROD - Member of the Bakersfield Hell's Satans. Meathook's right-hand-man.
RANCHO RELAXO - Mountain retreat where Marge once went to get away from Homer. Their motto is: "You can't spell Relaxo without Relax".

RENIER WOLFCASTLE - Actor in the McBain and Radioactive Man movies. A much-liked celebrity, who owns Planet Hype (Planet Hollywood, anyone?), is loosely based around Arnie, and drives a Humvee.

REPRESSITOL - Pills that Milhouse has to take.
RETCH DUDE - How The Collector (Comic Book Guy) once referred to Stretch Dude (Bart).

REVEREND TIMOTHY LOVEJOY - The Reverend of Springfield. His daughter, Jessica was much liked by Bart Simpson. His main hobby is playing with his toy trains, has the secret shame of making his dog crap on Ned Flanders' garden.
REX BANNER - Detective hired by Mayor Quimby to enforce Springfield's 200-year-old prohibition law. A very stern character, he doesn't take bribes and doesn't catch the Beer Baron. His time in Springfield ended when he was catapulted out by Police Chief Wiggum.
RICH UNCLE SKELETON - One of the many Itchy & Scratchy supporting characters.
RICHARD - Friend of Bart, Milhouse and Louis.
RICHIE RICH - Comic read by Bart.
RICHIE SAKAI - Guy who sang karaoke at The Happy Sumo restaurant. Has a wife called Patty.
RIGEL 4 - Homer planet of Kang and Kodos.
RIGELLIAN - Language spoken by Kang and Kodos, by some amazing coincidence, it is exactly the same as English.
RING TOSS - Game lived in and run by Cooder & Spud. Prizes include: a Def Leppard mirror; a camera; a matador lamp; a Rubik's cube; a Magic 8 Ball; a hunter's knife; an antique TV; a stuffed monkey; a Happy Little Elf and a stuffed seal.

ROAD RAGE: DEATH FLIPS THE FINGER - Film which Chief Wiggum showed Marge in order to try and kerb her road rage.

ROGER MEYERS JUNIOR - Current owner of Itchy & Scratchy and head of the company, which he inherited from his father. Believes cartoons do not encourage violence as "there was violence in the past, long before cartoons were invented".
ROGER MEYERS SENIOR - Father of Roger Meyers Junior, creator of Itchy & Scratchy, although he did steal the Itchy character from Chester J Lampwick. Acclaimed for the wildly successful "Pinichyo" and "Scratchtasia", although he was criticised for the controversial 1938 film "Nazi Supermen Are Our Superiors".
ROLLING STONE - Magazine which the Simpsons appeared on the cover of in Behind The Laughter.
